step 3: on the laptop, greyscaling the image to use it as a template to paint over..
step 4:start to digitally paint(I work in single layer)..
step 6:completing the painting..
step 7: the finishing touches,colour correction,adding a frame and I'm done..

A treat I aquired recently...
I recently aquired a limited box set Greek edition of P.Craig Russell's comic book adaptation of Richard Wagner's " The Ring of the Nibelung" opera cycle.
(original American publisher Dark Horse Comics)
P.Craig Russell is one of the most imprortant artists in the American comic book field, his beautiful and elegant art has a dinstinct art-nouveau feel, and he has done great adaptations of novels such as Michael Moorcoks's "Elric",and Neil Gaiman's "Coraline" as well as many operas and fairy tales. In his long career he has illustrated also for both Marvel and Dc comics with such characters as Batman,Sandman,Doctor Strange and Killraven.
